Despite the title, I've spent some of the best years of my life in Flagstaff, Arizona (a little mountain town an hour south of the Grand Canyon). Flagstaff is no stranger to me, in fact it's the home to my university and thus the birth of my adulthood (which is a story you will definitely hear about in the future). This being said, I never truly got a chance to explore Flagstaff because I was too busy exploring myself; and rightfully so, but I missed out on all the beauty the city had to offer.
So I decide to take a road trip not only to explore the city but find a part of Flagstaff that wasn't directly related to a life changing experience I had in my college days. So I put on my favorite Fleetwood Mac record ( 'Rumours') and drove until I found this beauty, Lake Mary Road. I immediately was captivated and had to document one of the most beautiful drives I've ever had. The peace and solitude is what really got me, to be alone with your own thoughts, reflect and enjoy the simple miracle of nature.
Later that evening I wandered into the town center to see what I could get into. If walking a moderately short distance to a nightclub in warm weather is your cup of tea, then look elsewhere, Flagstaff's night scene can be summed up with frat house parties, spoken words, and bar crawling (usually in the snow). Being the foodie that I am, I was mainly on the lookout for restaurants but the general vibe of Flagstaff at night is literally a mood. I took these pictures with my film camera (which was actually a total pain, and super expensive) but I adore these pictures and it was so worth it.
So if you're ever in Flagstaff, do yourself a favor and get lost, then try and find whatever strikes that magical chord in your heart. There is so much to be found in this beautiful city, let me know what you find!

Chi
