I'm gonna let you in on a Phoenix gem !
I'm not a coffee drinker so tea an ESSENTIAL beverage for me. So while scrolling on Yelp for the best cafes, I saw the most BREATHTAKING beverage! A milky tea with lavender leaves and dried rose petals. It looked ethereal.
I dropped my plans for the day and headed over to a cafe called 'Teaspressa' in Arcadia (Phoenix's trendiest neighborhood).
The shop was hidden in between two small buildings that all looked identical so I had to do a couple of u-turns. There was a quaint little signpost that guided the way. There were literally five parking spots that were split between the three buildings, so you might have to walk a couple of minuets for parking. I was fortunate enough to pull up to an empty lot.
As soon as I walked in it was like I was transported into a fairy's living room. The vibe was so whimsical and tranquil ! A smiling barista greeted me and she fit perfectly in the modern, minimal, and feminine ambiance. Flowers were draped over the ceiling and the spicy smell of chai tea filled the room.
DISCLAIMER: I paid 8$ for a cup of tea (a pretty cup of tea with a metallic straw!) BUT STILL....a cup of tea.
The menu was short but gave options. Most patrons, like myself came for the pretty teas and to flex on the gram. One of their most popular beverages is a extraterrestrial drink called 'moon milk'. Take a look at their Instagram @teaspressa for some of their most stunning teas.
I got and early grey with rose petals (for the gram) and I paid about 8$...Now I'm here to support small business just as much as the next food blogger but .... It was underwhelming and 100% for clout. Nevertheless, I appreciated all the effort and time that went into making each individual drink. BUT definitely not for my everyday cup of tea.
IF your coming to Teaspressa, you're coming to take pictures or wow someone special. But it's certainly not your local cafe vibe, dress to impress, and be willing to shell out for pretty moon milk.
Let me know if/when you go!
xo.
