Zinburger: A Review

Zinburger, is a fairly new restaurant under the Fox Restaurant Concept, I've been a fan of the company for a while and I have tried a couple of their other concepts including Culinary Dropout & Blanco's Tacos and Tequila. Zinburger specialists in burgers, wine and shakes with laid back feel, and high quality food. I've been to Zinburger a handful of times but this was my first time at this location.

I went to the location in Scottsdale Quarter in Arizona, on a very slow day (I like to disclose as much about the circumstances I went under because this has a great impact on a service and setting).

I was greeted warmly by a smiley hosts who sat me according to my preference, which was outside. It was a bit rainy but I liked the privacy. My waitress greeted me about 4 minuets in and she was more professional than warm, which I don't mind.

Their menu isn't seasonal but it had changed since the last time I had gone, so I ordered two items that were off the current menu. I started out with a strawberry lemonade, ordered the green chilie fries as an appetizer and a breakfast burger for and entree.

The lemonade came out timely but was missing the strawberry garnish it usually has at the top of the drink. The fries came out soon after, pipping hot with exceptional presentation, and last but not least the burger. My breakfast burger took a little bit longer than usually, but my waitress assured me she would get it out promptly when it seemed to become an issue. I had requested the burger be cook to medium temperature and it came out hot and juicy as per request.

Overall:

I had a pleasant experience at Zinburger and would not only come back but recommend this restaurant to a friend. Although, one thing that bothered me is that the sides do not come with the burgers, they are enough to share, but no single portion sizes. The menu is a bit bland and limited. You can create your own burger but any other toppings outside of lettuce, tomato and mayo is an additional $1.25 per topping. Which can easily run you 16$ for a burger.
